Gastroenterologist William Z. Kolozsi, M.D., joined the Gastroenterology Center of Salem in 1981.

Education and Training

A graduate of Heidelberg College, Dr. Kolozsi received his Masters degree and Medical degree from the University of Louisville, School of Medicine; and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship training in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.

Dr. Kolozsi is a member of the Medical Staff at Salem Regional Medical Center, as well as being a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Ohio State Medical Association, and the Columbiana County Medical Association.

Areas of Practice/Interest

Dr. Kolozsi performs preventative, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and Spyglass™ Technology; treats common ailments, such as chronic heartburn and irritable bowel syndrome; and diagnoses inflammatory bowel diseases, like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
